Cajun Tilapia

This is a great protein/fat meal that is low in carbs.

  • Sprinkle a tilapia fillet on both sides with salt, pepper, dried garlic, and dried onion (or use a seasoning rub).
  • Melt a little butter in a frying pan, add a dash of oil. Add hot smoked paprika as desired.
  • When bubbling, add the fish. Cook for a few minutes on both sides until golden outside, and soft and flaky inside.
  • Serve with oven roasted veg (leftover veg work well here) – asparagus, mushrooms, fine green beans, and cherry tomatoes make a nice combination, but use whatever you have handy.
  • If you like something to take out the heat a little, dice a quarter avocado and add to the veggie mixture.
