…Or maybe not!

It’s been nearly 3 weeks since my last post! During that time I have been sticking to my diet and exercising hard. Just kidding. Pigsville, UK. I’ve been wallowing in misery and chocolate cake, rubbish TV and Chinese take-aways. You get the idea. Somewhat amazingly, I’ve only put on a few pounds. Not that I’m happy about that, but then I’m not happy about much these days.

As the weather has been getting better, hubby has been trying to take me out for short to medium-length walks around the neighbourhood. I’ve started to really enjoy these – the fresh air and the conversation mainly. And I’m also starting to feel a little better in myself. I’m not going to go off on a jag about this fresh new start and how it’s all going to be different this time. Just taking one day at a time.

I tried to re-start Month 2 of the Self Challenge, but found the resistance workout awkward and difficult. So I’ve decided to go back to basics and returned to the Turbulence Training No-Bulk Workout for Women. Needless to say, just as I’m starting to feel a little motivated again, my knee is bothering me quite a lot, I’m still having low back problems following my pilates training course, and I think I’m coming down with something unpleasant and phlegmy. Figures. Tomorrow, if I’m up to it, hubby and I are going along to trial a kickboxing class. Possibly not the best thing for my knee but you can’t beat kicking the crap out of something to improve your mood. We’ll see how we get on. As for diet, it’s back to WW points for the rest of this week. We’re away this weekend, but from next Monday, we’re going to do another detox. Only 9 days this time (1 week plus a before and after day). Just to give me a little boost and shift some of the depression weight. Will keep you posted. ‘night all.

Hey, stop beating yourself up, your winning the game, because your still playing it. You can only lose if you quit. Check your goals and your support, shore them up first and you will feel better. Don’t stop, keep moving forward!!!

Do watch you can and watch out for that knee! Think about the things that make you feel happy… and write down a good long list of them. Remember to read over it when you are down, maybe that would help. Sometimes I get really depressed, then I start thinking about what I have to be grateful for and well, even if I don’t end up ecstatically happy, I do end by feeling a bit better.

Walking is great stuff… put hubby down on the list, LOL!
